Salary Information:
Salary Range $26.54/hr to $40.22/hr depending on qualifications and experience.
Job Duties Include:
The summary and purpose of the Statistical Data Analyst is to collect, analyze, and interpret property and market data to support accurate, uniform, and equitable property valuations. This role ensures compliance with Kansas appraisal standards by monitoring sales rations, identifying trends, and providing data-driven insights that inform appraisal decisions. Perform analysis for the production of all real estate values including residential land value analysis, residential depreciation analysis, residential market modeling, commercial land value analysis, commercial depreciation analysis, commercial income and expense analysis, commercial vacancy analysis, and capitalization rate analysis. Perform statistical analysis of mass appraisal data using measures including mean, median, ratio, standard deviation, trend lines, multiple regression, confidence intervals, capitalization rates, predictive modeling, coefficient of variation, coefficient of dispersion, price related differential, Euclidian distance points Provide supporting valuation documentation at upper levels of appeal, i.e., small claims, State Board of Tax Appeals and upper judicial levels Meet with taxpayers and taxpayer representatives for the purpose of answering questions, verifying data, and generally informing the public as to the purpose and function of the County Appraiser's Office. Assist with Reporting to KDOR-PVD regarding any valuation compliance or sales ratio documentation requested. Explain to appraisal staff the conclusions of statistical analysis.

Physical Requirements:
Determined Work Level: Level 3 – Medium Work Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly. Must have fine and gross manual dexterity required to operate computer and telephone. Ability to communicate ideas by means of the spoken word. This skill is utilized when giving assignments or directions to Staff or working with the public. Must be able to see at least 20 feet in order to conduct field appraisals. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms is required when conducting field appraisals.
