Steel Detailer/Drafter QC Inspector

Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Steel Detailer/Drafter QC Inspector to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise steel fabrication drawings and ensuring the quality control of the products you designed. Your expertise will help streamline structural steel construction projects, improve accuracy, and uphold the highest standards of quality. Duties

• Meet with architects, engineers, contractors, confirm design intent
• Site visits using tools like lasers, tapes, levels. Confirm column locations and steel beam elevations
• Develop detailed steel fabrication and erection drawings using AutoCAD and /or other CAD software, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Perform inspections during fabrication and erection phases to ensure that work aligns with approved drawings and quality standards.
• Proven experience in steel detailing or drafting within the construction or manufacturing industries.

Core Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD
• Familiarity with drafting standards related to structural steel components and construction practices.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, schematic development, interior design elements, and graphic design fundamentals is a plus.
• Experience conducting quality inspections or QC checks on detailed drawings or fabricated steel components is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of construction processes and ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
