Steel Fabricator Cum Welder

A Steel Fabricator Cum Welder is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding steel structures and components according to drawings and specifications. The role involves cutting, shaping, fitting, and welding steel materials while ensuring strength, accuracy, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This position requires strong technical skills in fabrication and welding processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
• Cut, bend, and shape steel using tools and machinery
• Assemble fabricated steel components accurately
• Perform welding operations (MIG, TIG, Arc/Stick, as required)
• Ensure weld quality, strength, and proper finishing
• Inspect completed work for defects and dimensional accuracy
• Operate fabrication equipment safely (grinders, drills, plasma cutters, etc.)
• Maintain tools, welding machines, and work areas
• Follow workplace safety rules and quality standards

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in steel fabrication and welding
• Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Proficiency in using hand tools and fabrication equipment
• Good physical strength and stamina
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
