Steel Structure Fabrication Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Steel Structure Fabrication Supervisor to manage and control fabrication activities in our steel fabrication yard and site operations. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge in structural steel fabrication, manpower handling, quality control, and production planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily fabrication activities including cutting, fitting, welding, drilling, and assembly of steel structures.
• Read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details accurately.
• Allocate manpower effectively to meet production targets and project schedules.
• Coordinate with Production Engineers, QC Inspectors, and Project Managers.
• Ensure fabrication works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor welding quality, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish.
• Control material usage and minimize wastage.
• Prepare daily production reports and manpower reports.
• Enforce safety rules and maintain a safe working environment in the fabrication yard.
• Support inspection activities with consultants and clients.

Requirements

• Experience in Mechanical or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in steel structure fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel members, welding processes, and fabrication sequences.
• Experience in GCC steel fabrication projects is highly preferred.
• Ability to handle large manpower teams and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
