STEM Coding Instructors (AI + Roblox/Unity Game Design)

AI Code Academy (formerly Delaware STEAM Academy) is seeking part-time STEM coding Instructors who is good at Roblox, Unity, Python, and Machine Learning to teach young students computer science and Raspberry Pi for Grades 4-12 Online or in-person (CA).

Coaches will present developed and tested curriculum in Roblox, Unity, Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Raspberry pi, and Machine Learning AI. Course training is provided but instructors are encouraged to share their knowledge and experience. The right candidate will have the ability to create rapport with a young audience to develop their curiosity of how things work, motivate their critical thinking ability and develop problem-solving skills. We are looking for an energetic individual with an engaging personality who believes in our philosophy of learning and innovating in a fun environment.

At a regular school year, we visit different schools or learning centers to teach. After school classes are held 3:30pm – 6:00 pm local time on Monday through Friday. Virtual classes are held 8:30am EST – 10:00 p.m EST on Monday through Sunday.

Hours are flexible and based on scheduled classes and instructor availability. Each class is typically led by a lead coach with 3-12 students.

Salary: $16.00–$30.00/hour depending on experience

Requirements

· Passion for working with young people and guiding them in exploration

· Punctual and reliable

· Comfortable with Python and other computer languages (Roblox, Unity, Java, JavaScript, C#)

· Confident, energetic, and assertive enough to control a class of high-energy young kids

· General knowledge of programming language and AI

· Driver’s license and reliable automobile with clean driving record (ability to safely transport supplies in multiple large bins)

· Able to pass a background check
