STEM PROGRAM FACILITATOR 30-40 HRS/WEEK
We’re looking for a hands-on, organized STEM Program Facilitator who enjoys working with people and making sure programs run smoothly from start to finish. This role supports the delivery of hands-on STEM programming in onsite, offsite, and community-based settings. You’ll play a key role in preparing materials, facilitating programs across the state, and supporting onsite programs and events.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE
Programming Delivery – approximately 55% of time
You’ll deliver hands-on STEM programming across onsite and offsite experiences, helping ensure programs are engaging, accessible, and run smoothly from start to finish. This includes outreach programming across the state, as well as onsite programs such as Preschool Discovery Hour, and assisting with camps, clubs, and workshops. You’ll help create a welcoming and engaging environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
Organization, Preparation & Materials Management – approximately 45% of time
You’ll ensure that programming materials, kits, and spaces are organized, stocked, and ready to support high-quality STEM experiences. This includes maintaining inventory and organization of education spaces such as prep rooms, classrooms, labs, and storage areas, as well as managing ordering for education programming within budget guidelines. You’ll complete prep tasks such as printing, laminating, cutting, copying, scanning, and filing materials.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Prior experience in education, camps, or working with children is preferred, but not required. Students pursuing an education degree or those who have completed an accredited program are encouraged to apply.

MORE DETAILS YOU’LL WANT TO KNOW
This position works with STEM Educators and reports to the Education Director. Other duties not covered in this application may be assigned during work but will not exceed reasonable role responsibilities. The starting rate is $22/hr, DOE, and has potential for growth.
