We are seeking a passionate and dynamic STEM Teacher to inspire and educate middle school students in the exciting fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. <Responsibilities>
- Design and deliver comprehensive STEM curricula that integrate core concepts such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate modern learning technology and hands-on laboratory activities to enhance understanding of complex scientific principles.
- Conduct laboratory experiments including dissection, microbiology studies, molecular biology techniques, and biochemistry investigations to promote experiential learning.
- Manage classroom environments effectively by implementing behavior management strategies and fostering an inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback and tailored tutoring as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and educational research initiatives to continuously improve teaching practices.
- Mentor students academically and personally, offering guidance on research projects, college preparation, and career pathways in STEM fields.
<Qualifications>
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education with a focus on Science or Mathematics; advanced degrees or certifications in STEM disciplines are preferred.
- Proven experience teaching middle school students in a classroom setting with a strong emphasis on science or math instruction.
- Demonstrated expertise in key STEM subjects including algebra, geometry, calculus, organic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology, discrete math, differential equations, and learning technology tools.
- Hands-on laboratory experience with dissection techniques, microbiology procedures, research laboratory work, and scientific experimentation.
- Project-based learning.
- Strong classroom management skills coupled with effective communication abilities to engage diverse student populations.
- Experience working with standardized testing protocols and curriculum development aligned with educational standards.
- Knowledge of special education needs and behavior management strategies to support all learners.
