STEM Tutor

Tutor Doctor of SWNGS partners with families across our community to deliver personalized, one‑to‑one tutoring that builds confidence, closes learning gaps, and helps students thrive. Our tutors are compassionate educators who believe in meeting students where they are—academically and emotionally—and guiding them toward long‑term success.

We are expanding our team and seeking experienced, enthusiastic STEM tutors who can inspire students in math, science, and technology subjects.

We are looking for tutors who can support students in one or more of the following areas:

• Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry
• Pre‑Calculus, Calculus
• Biology, Chemistry, Physics
• Computer Science, Coding, Robotics
• General STEM enrichment, homework support, and study skills

This role is ideal for educators, graduate students, industry professionals, or retirees who love teaching and want flexible, rewarding part‑time work.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized, one‑on‑one tutoring in students’ homes or online.
• Assess each student’s needs and tailor instruction to their learning style.
• Support homework, test prep, concept mastery, and skill development.
• Communicate progress and insights to families and the Tutor Doctor team.
• Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and a positive, encouraging presence.

Qualifications: -

• Strong proficiency in one or more STEM subjects.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently.
• Reliable transportation for in‑home sessions within the SWNGS area.
• Bachelor’s degree, current enrollment in a STEM program, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Must pass a background check.
