Travel Stepdown RN – Nights | Prescott, AZ | 13-Week Contract | 36 Hrs/Week

Are you a flexible and experienced RN who thrives in variety and fast-paced environments? This Float Pool opportunity in Prescott, AZ offers the chance to work across multiple units—MedSurg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care—at two campuses. You’ll manage post-op cardiac patients, titrate critical drips, and support a strong cath lab program, all while enjoying the scenic charm of northern Arizona.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: December 2, 2025
• End Date: March 2, 2026
• Contract Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts, 7p–7a)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed

About the Float Pool: You’ll float between MedSurg, Tele, and PCU units across both East and West campuses. Assignments include inpatient holds in the ED, post-MI and post-CABG patients, and stepdown cardiac cath recovery. Ratios range from 1:4 in PCU to 1:5–6 in MedSurg/Tele. Unit assignments are sent via text two hours before shift start, and flexibility is key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care for stepdown and telemetry patients across multiple units
• Titrate drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret strips independently
• Manage CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high-flow oxygen therapy
• Collaborate with charge nurses and nurse aides
• Document accurately using Cerner

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/stepdown experience
• Valid RN license (compact or AZ)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Education:

• ADN or BSN (BSN not required)

Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong cardiac telemetry and post-procedural care background
• Skilled in titrating cardiac and critical care drips
• Familiarity with CPAP/BiPAP and high-flow oxygen systems
• Able to adapt quickly to new units and patient populations
