Sterilization Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff. This position requires a strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and the ability to manage medical documentation effectively.

Duties

• Perform sterilization of dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to sterilization processes.
• Assist in the preparation of treatment rooms for procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are sterile and ready for use.
• Implement infection control measures to prevent cross-contamination in the dental office.
• Collaborate with dental staff to ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in sterilization.
• Conduct routine inspections of sterilization equipment and report any malfunctions or issues.
• Support four-handed dentistry by efficiently managing instruments during procedures.
• Stay updated on advancements in sterilization techniques and infection control practices.

Requirements

• Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control standards in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with medical records management and medical documentation processes.
• Experience in general dentistry is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
