We are seeking a talented IT Procurement Specialist I to provide professional, first-level support to the procurement function. While the primary focus of this role is IT Procurement Specialist I, the successful candidate may also have the opportunity to cross-train in other positions within the department based on organizational needs


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate technology vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms for hardware, software, and services.
  • Evaluate contracts with technology vendors while maintaining positive relationships with external partners under supervision.
  • Produces reports tracking contract expiration dates or spending for assigned categories or departments.
  • Oversees new vendor setup in IT procurement or purchasing systems and ensures that systems are appropriately maintained and updated.
  • Coordinate the purchase of IT equipment, licenses, and other assets.
  • Monitor IT procurement budgets and expenses.
  • Optimize spending while ensuring quality and value.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets and inventory.
  • Track warranties, licenses, and renewal dates.
  • Ensure purchased products meet technical specifications and organizational requirements.
  • May track shipments or verify quantities received against purchase orders/invoices.
  • Handles moderately complex issues and refers more advanced issues to higher-level staff.
  • Work closely with IT teams, stakeholders, and finance departments.
  • Communicate effectively to meet organizational needs.
  • Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience:

  • Solid working experience and/or knowledge within the field; preferred.
  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent; preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience; preferred.
  • Experience with productivity software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience.
  • Extensive equipment support experience.


Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to travel 25% of the time.
  • Available for on-site operations work Monday-Friday.
  • Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities - not hours; must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 15 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
  • Ability to get in and out of vehicle and walk up and down stairs during your shift.
  • Must be able to stand, sit for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist.
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
