Stock and Cashier Associate

Overview
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Seasonal Stock and Cashier Associate to join our team. This role is essential in helping us maintain a well-organized and efficiently run store. As a seasonal associate, you will assist with stocking shelves, maintaining a clean store environment, and providing excellent customer service at the cashier station. This position requires strong attention to detail, a friendly attitude, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Process sales transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy and excellent service at the cash register.
• Verify customer identification for age-restricted products following Oregon state guidelines.

Stocking and Merchandising:

• Unpack and stock incoming inventory on shelves, ensuring displays are organized, full, and visually appealing.
• Rotate products according to store guidelines to maintain freshness and compliance with state regulations.
• Assist with backroom organization, including labeling, sorting, and organizing stock.

Store Maintenance:

• Keep store aisles clean, organized, and free of clutter, ensuring a safe shopping environment for customers.
• Assist with occasional light cleaning tasks, including sweeping, dusting, and tidying displays.

Team Support:

• Collaborate with team members to support daily operations, including assisting with opening and closing duties as needed.
• Participate in team meetings or briefings to stay informed about store promotions, policies, and product knowledge.

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 21 years (required by Oregon state law for handling liquor sales).
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility with scheduling, especially during evenings, weekends, and holiday hours.
• Prior retail or cashier experience preferred but not required.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Cashier or in a retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and retail math is advantageous.
• Experience in warehouse settings or using RF scanners is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
