Responsibilities

• Restock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are organized, properly labeled, and visually appealing to customers
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions quickly and smoothly
• Assist customers with product inquiries, offering product demos and upselling when appropriate to enhance their shopping experience
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, stockroom, and checkout area
• Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with proper cash handling procedures
• Provide friendly phone etiquette when answering customer questions or assisting with store information
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring products are well-presented and accessible

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; training provided for the right candidate
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are a plus to serve diverse customers effectively
• Basic math skills for cash handling, POS operations, and retail math calculations
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a grocery store or retail environment with attention to detail
• Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks required in stocking duties
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional phone etiquette

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
