Stocker / Cashier

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves accurately and efficiently, ensuring products are well-organized and visually appealing to enhance the shopping experience
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions quickly and accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with professionalism
• Assist customers with product inquiries, providing product demos when applicable to promote features and benefits
• Maintain clean and safe checkout areas, adhering to proper phone etiquette and communication standards
• Upsell complementary products to increase sales while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and restocking items based on store plans and promotions
• Manage inventory levels through stock counts and reporting discrepancies promptly to ensure product availability

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math is advantageous
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are beneficial for supporting team operations
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks related to stocking and merchandising
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
• Experience working in a grocery store or similar retail environment is desirable but not mandatory
