We’re looking for a Storage Engineer to join my client IT Infrastructure team. You’ll play a key role in designing, managing, and supporting enterprise-grade storage platforms across hybrid environments. The role covers SAN, NAS, object storage, and disaster recovery, ensuring scalability, resilience, and high availability.
Key Responsibilities

Administer and fine-tune SAN, NAS, and object storage infrastructures.

Configure and support NFS shares, SMB shares, S3 buckets, and iSCSI volumes.

Monitor storage performance, capacity, and availability to ensure system health.

Implement and manage disaster recovery (DR) and replication solutions.

Support both synchronous and asynchronous replication across diverse platforms.

Ensure compliance with business continuity objectives (RPO/RTO).

Provide day-to-day operational oversight, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.

Work closely with virtualization, networking, and server teams to guarantee seamless storage delivery.

Conduct root-cause analysis for storage issues and recommend preventive measures.

Integrate storage with virtualization platforms (e.g., Nutanix AHV, VMware) and backup tools.

Support automation initiatives for provisioning, reporting, and monitoring.

Conduct capacity forecasting and lifecycle management of storage platforms.

Participate in storage refresh, migration, and consolidation projects.

Ensure systems align with IT security standards, compliance, and audit requirements.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).

At least 3 years in enterprise storage engineering within multi-vendor ecosystems.

Solid experience with SAN, NAS, and object storage systems.

Proficiency in NFS, SMB, iSCSI, S3, and SAN zoning.

Strong understanding of disaster recovery and replication technologies.

Familiarity with backup/restore and enterprise data protection.

Scripting/automation knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible) is an advantage.
