The Store Incharge (Civil) is responsible for managing all site materials, ensuring proper storage, documentation, inventory control, and timely issuance of construction materials. The role ensures smooth flow of material for civil activities and supports site operations effectively.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming construction materials (cement, steel, aggregates, shuttering, etc.).
  • Maintain proper storage conditions to prevent damage, moisture, or theft.
  • Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) method for material issuance.
  • Keep track of minimum stock levels and raise purchase requirements as needed.

Inventory Control

  • Maintain daily stock register, material receipt notes (MRN), and issue slips.
  • Prepare and update material inventory reports (daily/weekly/monthly).
  • Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile with system records.
  • Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately.

Documentation & Record Keeping

  • Maintain all documentation related to GRN, MRN, Issue Register, stock ledger.
  • Coordinate with the Accounts/Procurement department for bills, invoices, and challans.
  • Ensure proper documentation for material returned to supplier or transferred to other sites.

Coordination

  • Work closely with Site Engineers, Project Manager, and Procurement team.
  • Coordinate with vendors and transporters for timely material delivery.
  • Support audits by providing accurate records and inventory reports.

Asset & Tool Management

  • Maintain registers for tools, machinery, and equipment issued to workers or subcontractors.
  • Ensure timely return of tools and safe storage.
  • Track service/repair requirements of tools and equipment.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure safety standards in the store area.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper material stacking.
  • Follow company policies and site procedures strictly.

3. Required Skills

  • Knowledge of civil construction materials and specifications.
  • Strong inventory management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, or inventory software (preferred).
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

4. Qualification & Experience

  • Qualification: Diploma / ITI / Graduate (preferably in Civil or Material Management)
  • Experience: 3–7 years in construction site store management
  • Experience in roads, buildings, or infrastructure projects is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹32,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
