Job Title: Store Keeper Location: GIFT City, Gandhinagar

Experience: 4 to 5 years

Permanent Roles & Responsibilities:

Receiving and Storing:

● Receive and unload materials and goods delivered to the construction site, ensuring that the right items are received in proper condition.

● Stock and store materials in their designated locations, following standard procedures and safety protocols.

● Perform regular inventory checks and ensure proper organization of stock to make the materials easy to access when needed.

Issuing and Delivering:

● Issue materials to user departments, ensuring that the right quantities are delivered on time.

● Coordinate deliveries to different departments, ensuring that materials are distributed based on project requirements.

● Pack materials for shipment or delivery to other locations as required by project schedules.

Maintaining Records:

● Maintain accurate records of all stored materials using appropriate record-keeping tools such as bin cards and a stores ledger.

● Keep track of the stock levels and communicate with relevant departments regarding material shortages or overstock.

● Regularly update inventory data to ensure that stock levels are accurately reflected.

Documentation:

● Prepare purchase orders for materials and equipment as required by the project team.

● Enter bills in the goods inward register, keeping a record of all transactions.

● Ensure all required documentation (such as invoices, delivery receipts, and stock records) is completed and filed correctly.

Supervising:

● Supervise and coordinate the work of junior storekeepers or assistants, ensuring smooth daily operations.

● Ensure all staff are properly trained on store procedures, safety standards, and equipment handling.

● Oversee the security of the materials and ensure that there are no discrepancies or thefts within the store.

Inventory Management & Stock Monitoring:

● Regularly monitor stock levels and forecast future material requirements based on project schedules.

● Prepare reports on material usage, stock levels, and any shortages or issues to share with the project manager or procurement team.

● Perform regular stock audits and reconcile physical stock with inventory records.

Quality Control:

● Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance with specifications, ensuring that they meet construction project standards.

● Report any defective or damaged materials to the project manager and arrange for returns or replacements.

Preferred Candidate Profile: Educational Qualification:

● Diploma or Degree in Material Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: ● 4 to 5 years of experience as a Store Keeper or in a similar role, with specific experience in construction materials management.

● Strong knowledge of material handling, inventory management, and construction processes.

Key Skills: ● Inventory Management: Strong skills in managing construction materials, including cataloging, tracking, and organizing stock.

● Documentation: Ability to handle purchase orders, goods receipt notes, and other related paperwork efficiently.

● Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain precise and up-to-date inventory records.

● Leadership: Ability to supervise and guide staff effectively to ensure smooth operations.

● Problem Solving: Proactive in identifying and solving any issues related to inventory, deliveries, or documentation.

● Communication: Strong communication skills to interact with various teams, including procurement, project management, and vendors.
