Key ResponsibilitiesA. Store Keeping Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store raw materials, packing materials, finished goods, and consumables as per SOPs.
- Verify materials against Purchase Orders, Delivery Challans, and Invoices.
- Maintain proper identification, labeling, and segregation of materials (Approved / Quarantine / Rejected).
- Maintain stock registers, bin cards, and ERP/manual inventory records.
- Ensure FIFO / FEFO compliance.
- Issue materials to Production/QA as per approved requisitions.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the store area as per GMP norms.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile with records.
- Coordinate with QA for material sampling and release.
- Handle rejected, returned, or expired materials as per SOP.
B. Procurement Responsibilities
- Raise Purchase Requisitions (PR) based on minimum stock levels and production requirements.
- Identify, coordinate, and follow up with approved vendors.
- Obtain quotations, compare rates, and prepare comparative statements.
- Generate Purchase Orders (PO) after approvals.
- Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packing materials, spares, and consumables.
- Follow up on deliveries and ensure materials reach on time.
- Maintain vendor records and purchase documentation.
- Support vendor audits and documentation as required by QA.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain all store and purchase-related documents for audits.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and company SOPs.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain proper filing of invoices, GRNs, COAs, MSDS, and related documents.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Accounts departments.
- Communicate stock status and procurement timelines to concerned departments.
- Report shortages, excess stock, or discrepancies to management.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of GMP, FIFO/FEFO, and inventory control.
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical raw and packing materials.
- Computer proficiency (MS Excel, ERP systems preferred).
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
Qualification
- Graduate / Diploma (Any stream; Pharmacy preferred).
- Certification or experience in Store Management is an added advantage.
