Store Manager

Shabundys is a unique, entrepreneurial and fun off-price store concept where we sell your favorite name brand furniture, home decor, kitchen supplies, small appliances, lighting and other essentials at prices WAY below National retail. Every day is quite literally a treasure hunt. The store is named after the father of the owners who often said, “the only thing more fun than finding a great deal for yourself is to find a great deal for all your friends!”

Job Responsibilities

• Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
• Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Promotes optimum staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
• Coordinates the physical needs of the store with management.
• Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers to understand service requirements.
• Arranges and coordinates unloading, processing, pricing and merchandising of product.
• Together with Management formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities, determining additional needed sales promotion, and authorizing clearance sales.
• Markets merchandise by actively promoting on store Instagram and collaborating with influencers.
• Secures merchandise by leveraging security systems and measures.
• Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
• Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
• Enhances company morale by team recognition and maintaining a fun, friendly and happy workplace.
• Leads operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program procedures.

Work Hours

At Shabundys, we place a premium on families and lifestyle. We hope mornings can be spent at the gym, school, home or anywhere else needed to fulfill your many other responsibilities. Likewise, we close early enough to meet evening responsibilities!

• Open Monday - Saturday from 12pm - 6pm
• Closed Sundays
• Closed Thanksgiving and December 24th
• Manager is expected to work at least two Saturdays a month.

Retail Store Manager Qualifications and Skills

• Strong customer service skills
• Superior management skills
• High level of flexibility
• Ability to adapt to different customers
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Natural talent for motivating and developing teams

Experience

• High school Diploma
• College experience preferred
• Some retail experience required
• Managerial experience required

Time Off

• Two weeks paid time off
• Unpaid time off as needed within reason and arranged with Management

Compensation

• $22/HOUR PLUS BONUS!
