A Store Manager (STP/ETP) is responsible for managing all inventory for the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), including receiving, storing, and issuing materials, maintaining accurate stock levels, and coordinating with procurement. The role also involves ensuring safe storage of sensitive items like chemicals, conducting physical stock verification, managing storekeeping staff, and maintaining essential documentation for operations and audits. Key responsibilities
- Inventory and stock management:
- Receive, inspect, and store materials, spares, chemicals, and consumables.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/store management systems.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement material handling methods like FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or LIFO (Last-In, First-Out).
- Logistics and coordination:
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure the timely replenishment of critical stock.
- Issue materials to the plant operations and maintenance teams.
- Ensure efficient use of storage space and proper storage conditions for all items.
- Documentation and compliance:
- Maintain accurate records, such as Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), issue slips, and stock registers.
- Ensure all storage and handling practices comply with safety and statutory requirements.
- Provide documentation and reports for internal and external audits.
- Team and operational management:
- Supervise and guide storekeeping staff.
- Prepare management reports on stock movement, consumption, and reorder needs.
- Support plant operations by ensuring the uninterrupted availability of necessary materials and spares.
