Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Store Officer to manage and oversee inventory related to building and construction materials. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of construction materials, stock control procedures, and warehouse operations to ensure accurate inventory management and smooth site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain inventory of building and construction materials (cement, steel, aggregates, tiles, plumbing, electrical materials, etc.).
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movement (inward and outward).
- Coordinate material issuance to project sites and track usage.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of construction materials.
- Prepare inventory reports for management.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the store/warehouse.
- Work closely with procurement and project teams.
Requirements:
- Minimum Intermediate/B.com.
- Proven experience as a Store Officer, Storekeeper, or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of building/construction materials and inventory management is a must.
- Familiarity with inventory software and MS Office (Excel).
- Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
