Storekeeper

Job Summary:

The Storekeeper will be responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory of materials, tools, and equipment used in facility management operations. This includes receiving, inspecting, recording, and issuing materials, ensuring proper storage, and maintaining accurate stock levels to support maintenance and project activities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, tools, and equipment against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Maintain proper storage of all materials, ensuring items are organized, labeled, and stored in accordance with company safety and quality standards.
• Record and update inventory transactions in the system accurately and promptly.
• Issue materials and tools to technicians and site supervisors as per approved requests and maintain proper records of issuance.
• Monitor stock levels and prepare material requisitions to maintain minimum stock requirements.
• Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile with system records to identify discrepancies.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous or expired materials in compliance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate with procurement and accounts teams regarding purchase orders, material returns, and supplier issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store and surrounding areas at all times.
• Support in logistical arrangements and material deliveries to different project sites when required.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in supply chain or warehouse management is a plus.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a storekeeper, preferably in a Facility Management, Construction, or Maintenance company.
• Knowledge of inventory control systems and procedures.
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, ERP systems, or inventory software).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of safety procedures in handling maintenance tools, chemicals, and consumables.

Working Conditions:

• Based in the company’s central store or project site.
• May require occasional site visits or material deliveries.
• Working hours may vary based on project and operational needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
