Storekeeper

Job Summary

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage all operations within our store/warehouse. The Storekeeper will be responsible for the safety and security of stock, maintaining accurate inventory records, receiving shipments, and ensuring the efficient dispatch of goods. The ideal candidate has experience in inventory management and is physically fit to handle merchandise.

Key Responsibilities

1. Receiving and Inspection

• Receive incoming deliveries and verify that the quantity and quality match the purchase orders/delivery notes.
• Inspect goods for damages or discrepancies and report issues immediately to management.
• Unload merchandise and organize it into the designated storage areas.

2. Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate records of all stock movements
• Perform regular stock counts (daily/weekly/monthly) to reconcile physical stock with system records.
• Implement stock control measures to minimize waste and expiry.
• Label shelves and items clearly for easy identification.

3. Dispatching and Order Fulfillment

• Pick and pack orders accurately according to customer invoices or internal requisitions.
• Prepare goods for delivery or shipping, ensuring packaging is secure.
• Coordinate with drivers or logistics partners to ensure timely dispatch.

4. Maintenance and Safety

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.
• Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and report any maintenance needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Associate, or similar role.
• Drivers License is needed
• Technical Skills:
• Familiarity with standard concepts of inventory control.
• Basic proficiency in computer software. Experience with inventory management software is a plus.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Honesty and integrity.

• Accuracy of stock levels (Inventory accuracy rate).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
