A Storekeeper manages all stock operations, from receiving and storing goods to issuing them, ensuring accuracy through inventory control, maintaining organized and clean spaces, handling documentation, and reporting discrepancies, all to support smooth organizational supply and production flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving & Inspecting: Accepting deliveries, verifying quantities, checking for damage/errors, and processing returns.
- Stock Management: Labeling, shelving, organizing, and rotating stock (FIFO) for accessibility and freshness.
- Inventory Control: Recording stock movements, conducting counts, updating systems, and generating reports.
- Issuing Materials: Fulfilling departmental requests, preparing requisitions, and documenting all issued items.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keeping the store clean, organized, safe, and ensuring equipment is functional.
- Reporting: Communicating errors, preparing reports on stock, and flagging obsolete items for disposal.
