Core Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, managing stock rotation (FIFO), and identifying obsolete items.
- Receiving & Dispatch: Accepting deliveries, verifying quantities against orders, inspecting for damage, and preparing goods for shipment or sale.
- Storage & Organization: Storing items in designated, accessible locations, keeping the store/warehouse clean, tidy, and organized.
- Record Keeping: Documenting all stock movements (receipts, issues, returns) in physical ledgers or digital systems, and generating reports.
Key Tasks
- Stock Control: Initiating purchase requisitions for low stock and managing maximum stock levels.
- Staff Coordination: Supervising junior staff, delegating tasks, and training on procedures.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards for storage and handling.
- Software Proficiency: Using inventory management or ERP systems for accurate tracking and reporting.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software (ERP systems), basic mathematical skills for calculations.
- Communication Skills: English and Arabic
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational proficiency, effective communication for coordinating with suppliers and other departments, and problem-solving abilities.
- Education: Typically requires an Intermediate, diploma or equivalent; previous warehouse experience is highly preferred.
