Position Function:
Under the direction of the Transportation/Stormwater Superintendent, performs duties necessary to support the Stormwater Division to ensure the proper maintenance of City grounds, green spaces, retention ponds, and common and other areas of City-owned property and/or facilities providing for a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment.
Essential Duties:
Performs duties necessary to support the Transportation/Stormwater Superintendent, performs duties necessary to support the Stormwater Division to ensure the proper maintenance of City grounds, green spaces, retention ponds, and common and other areas of City-owned property and/or facilities providing for a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment. Duties include but are not limited to, mowing, trimming, edging, sodding, baffle box clean out and maintenance, painting, lighting, trash and debris removal, and pond and outfall inspections. Responsible for safely using and proper care and maintenance of all tools and equipment necessary to complete projects, assignments, and/or tasks.
Environment:
Duties are performed primarily within an outdoor environment or setting. Possible exposure to electrical and chemical hazards; water; vibration; loud noise; inclement weather; and dust, allergens and mold.

Must possess a Valid Florida Class E driver license.SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
This position may be required to report for work when a declaration of emergency has been declared in Polk County.
