As part of a robust full-service marketing company, the Ironmark digital agency team provides exceptional results for our clients through data-backed strategy. Ironmark creates and implements on the strategy crafted for our clients through content marketing, paid advertising, website design including UX and UI, search engine optimization (SEO), social media marketing & monitoring, event marketing and omni-channel campaign management.
The Ironmark Strategic Account Director ensures our contractual agreements with our clients are met and expectations are exceeded. He/she sits in the seat of the client, advocating for the strategy to ensure our work meets or exceeds the business goals of the client. Through the direction and guidance of Ironmark’s VP Strategic Account Management, the director helps clients reach their unique business goals and deliver on a strategy that provides them with measurable success through the work of Ironmark’s Account Managers and Agency Leadership.
As a leader on the Strategic Account Management team and within the Agency, this role is expected to identify and communicate opportunities to help streamline efficiencies and success within the department. She/he will mentor, coach and train Account Managers and promote a positive work environment across departments within the agency.
The Account Director works cross departmental with Digital Marketing and Creative leadership who’s teams are responsible for the work, acting as an additional layer of oversight to the Account Managers, and ensuring the teams are set up for success to deliver on the work.
Responsibilities

Accountable for the profitability and contractual obligations for all accounts assigned to you for direction.

Act as second Point-of-Contact for those clients assigned to you for direction, to ensure timely execution of client contractual obligations, services and deliverables - addressing any account escalations and being proactive in identifying potential needs for problem-solving.

Accountable for your assigned clients engagements to remain in scope and stay diligent in monitoring for time applied and expenses across the agency for your client engagements.

Proven success in retaining and growing existing and new enterprise accounts across a variety of industries, aligning outcomes with client business goals and through cross-sell and upsell of Ironmark services.

Responsible for coaching Account Managers through the representation of the client within internal decisions on strategy and tactical optimizations.

Resolve client communication, scope, concerns with a “soft front, strong back” approach independent of the VP Strategic Account Management, wherever possible. Demonstrate the ability to seek guidance on these conversations and present options of resolutions through critical thinking.

Review and analyze data on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to guide decisions on optimizations and strategy pivots required to meet and exceed our client’s goals and expectations.

Present the work of the Ironmark team to senior leadership of the agency and Ironmark executives.

Own the oversight of expenses, PO creation and reconciliation of the client work and contractual budget, including the overall expected client margin.

Act as a direct supervisor to 1 - 4 Account Managers, assisting in their client growth strategies and providing coaching to those AMs to become stronger leaders within the agency.

Stay current and up to date with the digital marketing industry and technology trends and any required certifications based on your role and the clients you support.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.

Agency experience of 2+ years client-facing and managing multiple accounts.

Clear understanding and demonstration of successfully creating, implementing and directing strategies for a minimum of 75% of the following:
