Strategic Financial Analyst ($110/130K+Bonus)

The Opportunity

Our client is a PE-backed media company in New York City seeking a Senior Strategic Finance Analyst to serve as a right hand to the CFO. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of finance, operations, and corporate strategy.

We are looking for a Strategic Storyteller who can dive into complex datasets, extract the signal from the noise, and build narratives that drive alignment across the executive team and BOD.

Key Responsibilities

• Build compelling financial narratives around performance, pricing trends, and channel health to drive consensus among senior stakeholders and implement real change
• Serve as a CFO force multiplier, providing high-velocity support including ad-hoc modeling for capital events, Board-level presentations, and what-if scenario analysis
• Act as the analytical bridge for the Sales organization, identifying margin leakage and opportunities for yield optimization
• Manage and evolve a Tableau and Excel environment with a focus on speed, clarity, and the 80/20 rule: actionable insights today beat perfect data next week
• Leverage SQL, Power Query, and AI tools to automate workflows and maximize capacity for deep-dive analysis

Requirements

• 2+ years in high-intensity finance: Investment Banking, PE portfolio company, or Strategic FP&A
• Proven ability to translate complex financial data into simple, persuasive narratives in both slide decks and live presentations
• Advanced Excel and Tableau skills are a must
• Comfort leveraging AI and modern tools to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Self-starting, high-output mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities without losing sight of the big picture
