Strategic Operations & Development Associate

Biggs Group is first seeking someone whose character, working style, and leadership potential align with our values and guiding principles, along with the motivation, analytical ability, and organization needed to succeed as a Strategic Operations & Development Associate.

We are looking for someone who leads with integrity, communicates with presence and respect, approaches challenges proactively, works with accountability, and is committed to continual growth.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in business operations, development, leadership, and organizational strategy within the real estate and affordable housing industry. This is not a traditional sales role. The person selected for this position will work directly with senior leadership and gain exposure to real estate development, property operations, financial analysis, project management, compliance, strategic planning, and organizational growth.

Experience in affordable housing, real estate development, or property management is helpful, but it is not required. We are primarily seeking someone with strong problem-solving ability, excellent communication skills, intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and a desire to learn and grow in a complex, mission-driven business environment.

Over time, this position is designed to develop into a leadership role with increasing responsibility and influence across both development and operations.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

Most positions offer a narrow job description. This position offers broad exposure, meaningful responsibility, and a long-term path for professional growth.

You will work directly with executive leadership, contribute to important organizational initiatives, and build experience across multiple business functions. This role is designed for someone who wants to strengthen their skills in analysis, operations, project execution, strategic thinking, and leadership while gaining a practical understanding of the real estate and affordable housing industry.

  • Real estate development
  • Business operations
  • Financial analysis and underwriting
  • Project management
  • Strategic planning
  • Team leadership
  • Organizational growth and improvement
  • Affordable housing and community development

Our goal is to identify someone with strong long-term potential and intentionally invest in their development over the next several years.

Who Thrives Here

People who do well in this role are not just capable—they are aligned with how we work, how we lead, and how we serve others. They tend to bring a combination of character, humility, initiative, and follow-through that strengthens both the team and the communities we impact.

  • They lead with integrity and follow through on commitments.
  • They communicate clearly, listen well, and show respect in how they work with others.
  • They take ownership, stay accountable, and step in to help when needed.
  • They approach challenges proactively and look for solutions rather than waiting for direction.
  • They are thoughtful, collaborative, and motivated by meaningful work that improves communities.
  • They are curious, coachable, and committed to continual growth.
