Job Description:   Strategic Research & Development Lead

Position Title: Strategic Research & Development Lead – AI & Legal Technology

Department: Research & Development (R&D)

Reporting To: CEO

Work Location: Dubai, UAE

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary Range: To be discussed (based on experience and innovation capability)

Role Overview

The Strategic Research & Development Lead will be responsible for conceptualizing, leading, and executing innovation initiatives across artificial intelligence, legal technology, and policy-driven solutions. The role focuses on converting research into scalable, practical, and commercially viable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the R&D roadmap focusing on AI, legal technology, ESG, automation, and regulatory innovation.

• Develop proofs of concept (PoCs), MVPs, and internal prototypes.

• Research emerging trends in legal tech, RegTech, and AI-driven services.

• Support integration of AI tools into legal and operational workflows.

• Ensure regulatory, ethical, and data governance compliance.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners.

• Prepare whitepapers, research reports, and strategic briefs.

Candidate Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field.

Master’s degree is an advantage.

Experience:

Minimum 5+ years in R&D, innovation, ESG or applied research roles.

Experience in legal, consulting, or regulated environments preferred.
