You start your morning reviewing open requisitions and supplier dashboards, confirming that inventory forecasts match production plans. By mid-morning, you’re negotiating contract terms with a key vendor, balancing quality, delivery, and cost. After lunch, you partner with operations and finance to align on budgets and supplier performance, then complete a process audit to ensure compliance. You close the day by mentoring a team member on market analysis and finalizing a report for senior leadership.
What you will own

Design and execute procurement strategies that support business objectives and savings targets.

Negotiate supplier contracts and agreements to secure the best value and service levels.

Track market shifts and evaluate supplier performance to uncover cost-reduction and efficiency opportunities.

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into sourcing plans.

Build and manage supplier relationships to drive quality, reliability, and on-time delivery.

Conduct periodic audits of purchasing processes to uphold compliance and streamline workflows.

Prepare and deliver clear, data-driven procurement reports for senior management.

Process requisitions and provide timely order-status updates to leadership and requestors.

Develop and manage purchasing budgets and reporting cadence.

Maintain complete, accurate records of transactions, contracts, and vendor data.

Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to balance availability with carrying costs.

Stay current on market trends, industry changes, and regulatory requirements to inform purchasing decisions.

Coach and mentor procurement team members to elevate capability and performance.
What you bring

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Professional certifications such as CIPP or CIPM are a plus.

Demonstrated experience in procurement or supply chain, ideally with leadership responsibility.

Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.

Hands-on familiarity with procurement software and tools.
