Job Overview
The Strategic Sourcing Manager leads category strategy and supplier management across MRO, indirect, and packaging to drive cost savings, supply continuity, and operational efficiency. This role partners cross-functionally with operations, manufacturing, and finance to develop data-driven sourcing strategies, optimize total cost of ownership, and mitigate supply risk. The position balances strategic leadership with execution in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong regular communication and professional relationships with CCA vendors.
- Verify and issue purchase orders in line with priorities, including specifications, price and turn-around times. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity.
- Develop and execute category strategies for MRO, indirect, and packaging spend.
- Create and maintain accurate records within systems of record, including ERP and electronic databases.
- Review and coordinate incoming orders with key stakeholders daily, including part number, description, quantity, ship-to address, shipping method, pricing and estimated ship date.
- Investigate all pricing/shipping/ordering discrepancies related to issued purchase orders. Work with suppliers, receiving and accounting teams to resolve any issues.
- Work with Quality to ensure supplier non-conformance is handled according to existing Purchasing and Supplier Quality Agreements.
- Purchase MRO supplies for specific departments following the Purchasing Request process.
- Purchase Raw Material Inventory items following the Purchasing Request process.
- Maintain precise records online and offline. Communicate issues and updates to your manager in an appropriate timeframe.
- Provide purchasing planning and control functions by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Manage material forecasting sheet for company and associated brands and update daily and weekly.
- Assess capacity and resource restrictions and make related recommendations. Synchronize the production schedule based upon lead time of purchased materials. Support the development of demand forecasts.
- Calculate and publish KPIs including turnover ratios, days of inventory on hand, labor productivity (including efficiency and utilization), and inventory valuations.
- Manage surplus and obsolete inventories.
- Adhere to both company and government guidelines and regulations at all times.
- Assist with periodic physical inventory as needed.
- Adhere and contribute to applicable SOPs.
- Continuously drive process improvements, cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives.
- Serve as a POC for buying and planning as well as related inquiries.
- Maintain professionalism and live CCA's core values at all times.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or inherent to the position, including periodic physical inventories.

Required
- Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain, Business, or related field) or equivalent combined experience and education directly related to purchasing and planning.
- 7+ years in strategic sourcing or category management.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
