Streetwear Designer Menswear (Denim Focus)

Millennial Apparel Group is an NYC based wholesale apparel company specializing in design, manufacturing, and distribution of Juniors, Missy, Men’s, and Kids to various retail markets. We are looking for a talented Denim Designer with strong experience in men’s and boys’ streetwear to join our growing company

.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO):-

• Designing innovative product with an understanding of how to translate trends into the off-price market.- specifically denim.
• Create seasonal concepts aligned with streetwear trends and customer needs
• Develop flat sketches, CADs, tech packs, and wash details
• Work closely with production and vendors on fit, fabric, and wash development
• Research trends, washes, and silhouettes in the streetwear and denim market
• Trend Driven but meet cost targets and brand standards
• Manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure inception to production is carefully reviewed & followed with a lot of attention to detail.
• Collaborate with merchandisers to create and execute computer-generated graphics and prints across multiple brands.-
• Maintain consistent communication with cross functional teams Tech., Production, Sales, & Factories. Ensure that product is consistent with market trends as well as overall business strategy and direction of management & sales team.-
• Actively shop the local market, identify the most current trends in color, fabric, trim, silhouette, graphic / prints using creative skills to translate effectively withcompetitive analysis.
• Strong organizational skills to keep records and maintain line sheets of all designs and component.

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:- Degree in fashion design or related field-

3+ years of experience in CAD, textile. Experience working with denim (Streetwear focus) Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.- Strong knowledge of repeat patterns, color separation, and print production- Great attention to detail and strong ability to multitask and meet deadlines- Ability to work in a fast pace, high performance environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities.- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time- In Office

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
