About the Role

We are hiring a Stress / Structural Analyst with proven experience in finite element analysis (FEA) for aerospace or defense hardware. You will perform detailed stress, fatigue, and structural analyses for rotating and static engine components, ensuring design robustness and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform linear and nonlinear static, dynamic, and thermal analyses using ANSYS Workbench, NASTRAN, or HyperMesh.
  • Evaluate component stress margins, fatigue life, and fracture risk for critical structures.
  • Support design engineers in optimizing components based on analytical feedback.
  • Document analysis reports to support internal validation and external certification.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to define testing criteria and load cases.
  • Review material properties, load assumptions, and boundary conditions for FEA models.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering.
  • 5–12 years of experience performing structural or stress analysis in aerospace or defense industries.
  • Proficiency in ANSYS, HyperMesh, NASTRAN, or equivalent simulation tools.
  • Strong understanding of fatigue, durability, and thermal stress analysis methods.
  • Excellent technical writing and reporting skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with gas turbine or rotating equipment.
  • Familiarity with DoD / ITAR environments and certification documentation.
  • Knowledge of Python or MATLAB for post-processing automation.

Eligibility

Only U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders (due to export control / ITAR restrictions).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $84,281.51 - $150,000.00 per year
