Warehaus is seeking a Structural Designer who is responsible for the design modeling, drafting, and drawing production for engineering projects with the goal to enhance their personal skill sets and learn the technical aspect of structural design. They develop models for structural related projects. Structural Designers work closely within a team, including project managers and project engineers to deliver quality design within the budget, scope and schedule of the project.


Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Develops structural design and production documents across all project phases, from schematic design through construction documentation
  • Performs basic structural design detailing
  • Collects and verifies field information to inform design accuracy
  • Assists in reviewing shop drawings, submittals, and responding to RFIs
  • Performs QA/QC on design documents and project deliverables
  • Conducts clash detection in coordination with internal disciplines, as required by project scope
  • Collaborates with Architectural, MEP, and Civil teams to ensure coordinated design solutions
  • Follows and contributes to Warehaus organizational standards, including file structure and drawing asset management
  • Maintains accurate and organized design files for ongoing reference and quality assurance
  • Supports design projects to meet established timelines and budgets
  • Coordinates with external subconsultants to align design intent and documentation
  • Assists with project closeout procedures and documentation
  • Learns technical design standards and processes through mentorship and self-directed development
  • Builds technical proficiency through continuous learning and applied project experience


Experience required:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Structural Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years’ structural design/production experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Revit required
  • Currently an EIT pursuing licensure a plus
  • Experience with Risa, RAM, Enercalc a plus
