Structural Engineering Associates (SEA) is Kansas City’s oldest continuously operating structural engineering firm and we are seeking talented individuals for our downtown Kansas City office. Founded in 1909, SEA has a long history in Kansas City. From City Hall, Jackson County Courthouse, and the Municipal Auditorium during the 1930s to our more recent work on the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art expansion and the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, SEA is continually engaged in the most exciting projects in Kansas City. Recently SEA has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Bancroft Architects + Engineers, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Bancroft and SEA are on a mission to design and build scientific and healthcare facilities dedicated to improving the lives, health, and productivity of persons who live and work in those spaces.

Summary of Position:

We are seeking talented and motivated individuals to work on all kinds of projects. Projects can include hospitals, government facilities, parking garages, educational facilities, office buildings, industrial structures, and repair/renovation design. Many of our new design projects have become landmarks in Kansas City. Our restoration projects often focus on historic structures, that we help to preserve and protect for future generations. Our work extends throughout the region and across the United States.

Duties and Responsibilities:·

Oversee project management, structural design, and development of drawings and specifications for projects with a wide range of framing systems, size, and project scheduling. Manage client outreach, quality control, scheduling, and overall design team financial and technical performance.

Requirements:

*Must have PE or SE license and the ability to obtain licenses in other states as needed.

*Minimum of 5 years of experience performing structural design and developing details for drawings.

*Experience in structural design in multiple structural framing systems, document preparation, and client outreach.

*Individual should be self-motivated, able to work independently, communicate well, and have the ability to work on and lead multiple projects at the same time.

*Working knowledge of Risa 3D, Adapt, or other structural analysis programs, Bluebeam Revu, and Revit is an advantage.

*Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, including staff, clients, vendors, and contractors.

*Travel as required by project assignments (limited travel with overnight stays).

Base Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
