Structural Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and flexible Structural Engineer to work with us on a variety of residential projects across multiple states, primarily in Washington and Oregon. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the analysis and construction of various structural projects, after most design has been provided prescriptively for the project. Candidates should possess proficiency in structural load calculations, lateral analysis, CAD, and analysis software. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of structural systems for permit and construction.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all designs meet local codes, regulations, and industry best practices while maintaining high safety standards.
• Stamp plan sets for permit, verifying structural design components.
• Review and edit structural design utilizing AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
• Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and system design to evaluate structural integrity under various conditions.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction documents with precision and clarity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE license preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, GIS applications, and CAD drafting tools.
• Strong knowledge of FEA software such as Mathcad or similar platforms.
• Experience with Bluebeam and AutoCAD for document management and collaboration.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for technical writing and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and GIS mapping techniques is advantageous.
• Familiarity with construction processes and technical writing for reports and specifications.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $400.00 - $600.00 per day
