Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our engineering consultancy team in Dubai. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical knowledge, proven UAE project experience, and advanced proficiency in Revit. The role involves designing, reviewing, and coordinating structural works for a wide range of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, international standards, and project-specific requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Technical Duties

• Perform detailed structural analysis and design of buildings and structures using industry-standard software (e.g., ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, Revit).
• Develop and review detailed structural drawings, BIM models, and design documentation using Revit (Mandatory).
• Prepare structural calculations, material specifications, and design reports.
• Conduct site evaluations, structural inspections, and resolve technical issues arising during construction.
• Ensure structural systems comply with UAE codes, Dubai Municipality (DM) regulations, Trakhees, DDA, and applicable international standards (ACI, BS, Eurocodes).

Project Coordination & Management

• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of structural systems.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and authorities during various project stages.
• Participate in project meetings, technical presentations, and design workshops.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFI responses.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all structural solutions follow best engineering practices, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Assist in preparing submissions for authority approvals (DM, Trakhees, DCD, etc.).
• Conduct internal quality checks and maintain documentation according to company procedures.

Qualifications & RequirementsMandatory Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5–10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE (Mandatory).
• Expert-level proficiency in Revit for structural modeling and detailing (Mandatory).
• Strong experience with UAE authority guidelines and approval procedures.
• Proven project experience with residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use developments.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, RAM Concept, and other structural design tools.
• Deep understanding of reinforced concrete and steel structure design.
• Experience in BIM coordination and clash detection using Revit/Navisworks.
• Familiarity with project management software is an added advantage.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver within deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an Engineering Consultancy in Dubai.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green building guidelines (LEED, Estidama).
• Previous experience with high-rise projects, villas, industrial buildings, or infrastructure works.
