We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble structural components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including MIG, TIG, FCAW), and plasma cutters to fabricate and assemble metal structures.
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Perform welding tasks adhering to ASME codes & standards, including sheet metal welding and <LOCATION> specific welding requirements.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, press brake machines, and rigging equipment safely to move heavy materials and components.
- Conduct pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, and assembly of mechanical systems as required for various projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding processes, and <LOCATION> specific welding techniques.
- Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement instruments.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes including plasma cutting, press brake operation, machining, soldering, and assembly.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of rigging techniques, pipe threading, ductwork installation, and manufacturing practices.
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards governing structural fabrication; basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
