Structural Ironworker/Welder

Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Ironworkers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and maintenance of iron and steel structures on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of schematics and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The Ironworker will utilize various welding techniques and tools to ensure the structural integrity and safety of all projects.

Duties

• Assemble and install metal frameworks, girders, and columns according to blueprints and specifications.
• Perform stick welding and other welding techniques to join metal parts securely.
• Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed for transporting materials on the construction site.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Ironworker or similar role in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in welding techniques, particularly stick welding.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Valid driver's license may be required for operating machinery on-site.
