Structural Steel Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience working in a steel fabrication company, with strong knowledge of structural steel design, detailing, and fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural steel elements, assemblies, and connections
• Prepare engineering calculations, design packages, and technical reports
• Review and approve steel fabrication drawings and shop details
• Collaborate with drafting teams to ensure accurate and complete drawings
• Perform load calculations, modelling, and structural analysis using relevant software
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, fabricators, and internal teams
• Provide engineering support during fabrication and installation phases
• Assist with project planning, timelines, and technical problem-solving

Required Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a steel fabrication company
• Strong knowledge of steel design principles and fabrication/erection practices
• Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., STAAD, SAP2000
• Ability to read, interpret, and review structural and fabrication drawings
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
