Structural Steel Detailer/Designer

This position is within the steel fabrication industry and services many facilities in the local area. The Structural Steel Designer is responsible for conducting on-site visits to gather information on specific client needs regarding steel fabrication projects and provide drawings and layouts.

Essential Functions and Experience/Skill Requirements:

Minimum of 4 years’ experience working as an Engineer/Designer with a heavy emphasis on structural steel.

Perform field layout and pull measurements on existing steel structures and new projects.

Create fabrication drawings for pipe support, structural steel, etc.

Ability to multitask and prioritize (mixing smaller jobs with quick turn arounds in with larger drawn-out projects).

Office 365 and Microsoft Office Products are required.

Experience with TEKLA for 3D modeling and detailing of structural steel is A plus

Ability to work in a small team setting and communicate with customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
