Role Overview
As a Structural Substation Engineer, you will design and analyze substation structures, foundations, grading, and drainage systems. You’ll ensure compliance with industry codes, support construction teams, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to innovative energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop substation site plans, grading, drainage, and foundation systems.
• Perform structural analysis of foundations, anchorage systems, and steel connections.
• Ensure compliance with AISC, ACI, ASCE 113, CBC, IEEE, NESC codes and standards.
• Review subcontractor and peer work for quality and compliance.
• Provide field support to construction teams and resolve design-related issues.
• Mentor and guide younger engineers, fostering technical development.
• Prepare drawing packages, assist in proposals, and contribute to project scheduling and bid reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Professional Engineer (PE) License – Required.
• Experience in civil/structural design (utilities or energy sector preferred).
• Proficiency with structural analysis/design software (Ipile, RISA, or similar).
• Knowledge of site drainage, grading, and subsurface systems.
• Strong understanding of civil/structural codes and standards.
• Leadership and mentoring ability with collaborative mindset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
