Fabrication Welder
Locations: Houston, TX 77038 & Conroe, TX 77301
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour DOE

Apache Workforce Solutions is seeking experienced and motivated Fabrication Welders to join our growing team. In this role, you will produce a variety of sheet metal parts and metal building components while ensuring all products meet dimensional and quality requirements. You will set up and align parts according to shop prints, perform welding operations, and complete final fabrication assembly while working independently or as part of a team.
Perform MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel
Create basic fittings and assemblies
Set up and adjust welding equipment to maintain weld quality
Remove material using grinding processes
Read blueprints and inspect parts for dimensional accuracy
Perform basic layouts, positioning, and alignment
Inspect parts against engineered drawings
Perform spray transfer MIG welding
Examine weld beads for acceptable weld attributes
Cope, fit, and square parts
Maintain overall dimensions, squareness, and plumb throughout fabrication
Finish grind and perform surface finishing as required
Repair weld defects as needed
Perform tack welding and stud welding
Torch cutting and material preparation
Notify lead personnel or inspectors when products are ready for inspection
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Minimum 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Minimum 2 years of experience using fabrication and measuring tools, including:
Squares
Clamps
Fillet gauges
Angle grinders
Experience operating fabrication equipment, including:
Shears
Brake presses
Turret punches
CNC lasers
Ironworkers
Band saws
Welding machines
Cutting torches
Plasma cutters
Grinders
Overhead cranes
Knowledge of applicable Quality Assurance Procedures (QAPs)
Ability to read blueprints and tape measures accurately
Ability to convert decimals to fractions and use conversion charts
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods
Excellent manual dexterity, color vision, and eyesight
Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, driving record review, and background check

1G and 3G Welding Certifications
High School Diploma or GED
Forklift operating experience
Forklift Certification
