Job Title: Structure Engineer

Reports To: Structure Manager / Project Manager

Job Purpose:

Responsible for execution, supervision, and quality control of structural works such as bridges, culverts, ROBs, flyovers, retaining walls, RE walls, and other highway structures ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review structural construction drawings, GFCs, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Execute structural activities including foundation, sub-structure, super-structure, prestressing, bearings, expansion joints, crash barriers, and drainage provisions.
• Coordinate with design team for drawings, design clarifications, and construction issues.
• Manage reinforcement cutting, bending, placing schedules as per BBS.
• Monitor shuttering, staging, formwork, scaffolding systems ensuring proper alignment & quality.
• Ensure concrete production, batching, slump control, cube testing, curing, and pour protocols.
• Conduct and document pre-concreting and post-concreting checks.
• Ensure compliance with IRC, IS codes, MoRTH guidelines and QAP requirements.
• Supervise subcontractors and workforce ensuring productivity and timeline adherence.
• Maintain DPR, material consumption, quality records, checklists, and progress reports.
• Ensure site safety, toolbox talks, and proper PPE usage during structural works.
• Coordinate with survey, QA/QC, planning, and safety teams to avoid rework and delays.
• Assist in bridge launching operations, erection of girders, and post-tensioning works.
• Check reinforcement & formwork measurements for billing and reconciliation.
• Identify risks, raise RFIs, and ensure timely resolution of construction challenges.

Educational Qualification & Work Experience

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering.
• 5-7 years in highway project bridge/structure construction (depending on role level)
• Experience in major structures like ROB, Flyover, PSC/Girder bridges preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
