Structured Finance Lawyer

Job Title: Associate – Structured Finance / Debt Capital Markets

Location: Dubai, UAE

PQE: 2–4 years

The Role

We are seeking a high-calibre Associate to join a global law firm in their Structured Finance and Debt Capital Markets practice in Dubai. The team advises on some of the most complex and high-profile financings across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, including securitisations, sukuk, Islamic finance, project bonds, acquisition finance and innovative capital markets transactions.

You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on cross-border matters for major banks, asset managers, sovereigns, financial institutions and corporate issuers.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising on structured finance and DCM transactions, including securitisations, sukuk and conventional bond issuances
• Drafting and negotiating transaction documents such as offering memoranda, trust deeds, security documents and intercreditor arrangements
• Supporting on regulatory, listing and Shari’ah-related issues
• Managing transaction processes, including coordinating with arrangers, trustees, rating agencies and counsel in multiple jurisdictions
• Playing an active role in client relationships and business development

Candidate Profile

• 2–4 years’ post-qualification experience in structured finance and/or debt capital markets
• Training and experience at a leading international law firm
• Strong drafting, technical and commercial skills
• Experience with securitisation, sukuk, MTN programmes or complex financing structures is highly desirable
• Excellent academic background and attention to detail
• A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced international environment
