Student Assistant, Videographer

Job Summary

This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity for a current student to gain valuable work experience while contributing to the success of Lake Sumter State College. The Student Assistant will provide essential support, working closely with faculty and staff to ensure efficient operation of departmental activities.
This is a part-time position with an expected commitment not to exceed 25 hours per week. The schedule will be flexible to accommodate the student’s academic and other responsibilities. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and Celebrating.

Students cannot work during class meeting times.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide video editing work for the production studio
  • Provide video shooting support to videographers for events and marketing materials
  • Assist with the operation of studio equipment and gear
  • Provide camera and/or media support for live-stream broadcasts
  • Assume other duties as assigned.

  • Strong Organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and confidentiality

Minimum Qualifications & Education

  • Currently enrolled at Lake Sumter State College (min. 6 credit hours)
  • Currently, hold and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Minimum age of 18
