iCode Cambrian Park is a STEM-accredited after-school program designed for students in grades K-12. The program focuses on teaching coding, robotics, game development, and other technology-based skills to prepare students for the future. iCode Cambrian Park fosters a creative and engaging learning environment where students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Located in San Jose, CA, the program is dedicated to empowering young minds through hands-on, project-based learning experiences.

Location: San Jose (Cambrian Park area). This is an on-site position for our facility in Cambrian Park area of San Jose. No remote opportunities. Local candidates desired.

Instructor Positions:

We are hiring enthusiastic instructors for our iCode Cambrian Park location who enjoy working with kids and technology. We are currently looking for several instructors to support our camps and after-school programs.

We are hiring for the following instructor type roles:

Camp Instructor (Seasonal / Part-Time)

● Lead fun, hands-on STEM camps where kids learn coding, robotics, game design, and technology.

Responsibilities:

● Teach and guide students through camp activities

● Help kids build projects in coding, robotics, and game design

● Create a fun, engaging learning environment

● Support students ages 5–14

After-School Instructor (After-School/Weekends)

Teach our structured after-school program, where students progress through levels while learning coding, technology, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

● Lead instructor-led classes in coding and STEM

● Support students as they advance through belt levels

● Provide guidance and encouragement to students

● Work with students ages 5–14

Ideal Candidates:

● Enjoy working with kids

● Interest or background in technology, coding, robotics, or STEM

● Strong communication and classroom management skills

● Reliable and energetic

Schedule: Part-time (afternoons, evenings for afterschool and camps during school breaks)

Qualifications

• Passion for working with kids and inspiring curiosity in STEM
• Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in an educational setting
• Ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Passion for STEM education and mentoring students
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is a plus
• Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, JavaScript, Scratch, or similar technologies
• Comfortable learning and teaching our curriculum, coding languages, and STEM programs, even if not familiar initially; strong willingness to learn and grow
• Experience with 3D printing and modeling, or a strong interest and willingness to learn
• Strong foundation in robotics, game development, or STEM-related areas
• Effective communication and instructional skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Pursuing or possessing a degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field is preferred
• Exception also for exceptional students in High School with a career focus in Computer Science and active leadership role in a high school STEAM club.

● Stay on schedule provided by campus director/manager.

● No social media usage while at work.

● While on the clock, employee’s time is 100% committed towards iCode

● Perform tasks within the timeline provided by manager.

● Perform tasks within reasonable expectations of quality of work.

● Offer creative solutions to issues and problems.

● Be dedicated to campus duties and not be distracted by other tasks.

● Employee must clock in and clock out at all times while reporting to work.

● Must be in proper work attire.

● Must be a team player. Must have great customer service skills.

● Must adhere by HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
