Student Success Coordinator

NON-UNION POSITION through EDUStaff

Position Summary:
The Student Success Coordinator supports student attendance, engagement, and academic success through intervention, family outreach, and relationship-building. This position works closely with students, families, counselors, administration, and community agencies to identify barriers to student success and implement strategies to improve attendance and school engagement.

Hours:
Monday through Friday; 7:00 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. (includes ½-hour unpaid lunch); 36.25 work hours per week

Essential Duties:

  • Monitor attendance data, including absences, tardies, and attendance trends, to identify students in need of intervention.
  • Conduct attendance meetings, student check-ins, and goal-setting conferences.
  • Develop and monitor attendance improvement plans and intervention strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding attendance concerns.
  • Support truancy prevention efforts, including diversion referrals, court appearances, home visits, and other outreach activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with counselors, social workers, teachers, and administrators to support at-risk students.
  • Connect students and families with school and community resources.
  • Assist with restorative practices, conflict resolution, and student re-engagement efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to attendance and interventions.
  • Participate in MTSS, attendance, and student support meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Education, Social Work, Human Services, Criminal Justice, or a related field; or equivalent experience working with children and families.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and families.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of attendance intervention strategies, restorative practices, and student support systems preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with students, families, staff, and community agencies.

Wage: $20 per hour
