Studio Director — Front Desk (Part-Time, Room to Grow)

The first thing someone feels when they walk into Emerge isn't the acupuncture or the aerial hammocks. It's whoever's at the front desk. That's the job.

We're hiring a Studio Director to be the face and voice of our Massapequa wellness studio. You greet clients by name, get them where they need to go, keep the space running right, and hold the energy of the room. Community is what we pride ourselves on, and you're the one who makes the first impression of it.

The shifts we need covered

• Thursday, 3 PM to close
• Sunday, 7 AM to 4 PM

We're starting part-time with these two shifts. For the right person there's real room to grow: more hours, more responsibility, and the potential to move into a full-time administrative or leadership role over time. We'd rather hire someone we can grow with than just fill a seat.

What you'd do

• Welcome and guide clients. Greet people by name, meet new clients at the door, and help them find the class or service that fits.
• Run the front desk and our systems. Check-ins, scheduling, phones, email, and inquiries across our booking, records, and client software. We'll train you on all of it.
• Handle the money. Process transactions accurately, count the drawer, and balance it at close.
• Prepare for practitioners. Confirm appointments, keep client paperwork on track, and set up rooms so every session is ready to go.
• Keep the space pristine, and open and close it. Reset and restock rooms, run the walkthroughs, and lock up. Our standard is high, every shift.
• Keep the day running smoothly. Anticipate issues before they become problems, support our instructors and practitioners, and leave a clear written handoff for the next shift.

Who this is for

You're at your best with people and on your feet. You like greeting clients, making them feel welcome, and keeping a few things moving at once without losing the thread. You're comfortable on a computer and you pick up new systems fast. You're organized, you follow through, and you own your work. You take pride in a space that's clean and running right, and you genuinely want to help people feel better.

You don't need prior front-desk experience. We'll train you and support you as you learn. What we can't teach is the energy and care you bring to people. That part is you.

One honest note: this is an active, people-facing role with a lot happening at once, and that's what makes it rewarding. If you're looking for a quiet desk job where you can keep your head down, this likely isn't the right fit. But if you're energized by being in the middle of it, learning as you go, and setting the tone for everyone who walks in, you'll do well here.

• Pay: Starts at $18 per hour while you get established, with raises as you prove yourself and take on more.
